The World of Silverstone
Posted earlier at iamchief.
Who knows how many great novels are lying unfinished in the drawers of wanna-be writers all across the land. I hope that won't be true with my son. But just in case... I've posted the first chapter of his latest novel: The World of Silverstone. If he doesn't finish, at least you'll have the first few pages.
Below you'll find the table of contents, promising 15 chapters - and a map, as well as character sketches (both illustrative on the cover & biographical after the contents). Enjoy!

GOD was with us
Hebrews 13:5b
For he himself has said, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you."
The tornado struck*
We went downstairs and
slept in the bathroom.
GOD was with us.
slept in the bathroom.
GOD was with us.
*This is a bit of an embellishment on Aaron Job's part. However, we did take cover in the bathroom because the tornado sirens were going off. BTW, those are blankets flapping in the wind as the two children descend the stairs heading for cover. This is the tornado that missed us by only a few miles.

Servants and Singers T-Shirt Design
Servants and Singers is the 3rd - 6th grade children's choir at our church. They're having a contest to come up with a t-shirt design. This is Aaron Job's design concept. He found the Bible verse all by himself, after I showed him how to use a concordance.
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving, make melody to our God in the lyre. Psalm 147:7

Aaron Job Shoots
I know this blog is for Aaron Job's drawings, but I thought I'd break protocol & post some of his photographs. The great thing about digital cameras is that you can let your 7 year old son go crazy & you haven't lost any money on wasted film! These pics were taken over the last 12 to 18 months. All of these were taken by Aaron Job w/ no help from any adults.
I'm still trying to figure out how to take decent close up shots with that camera...
Now, Anita might have taken this one - but hey - kudos for training the lizard to pose!
Stick around, maybe I'll post some of his videos.

ROBOBOT
Here's a cute - um, I mean, cool picture Aaron Job recently drew.
Usually I adjust the image to erase the bleed through from the other side of the paper, but this made me chuckle, 'cause we all know he probably drew this while he should've been doing his math homework!

How To Get Rid Of Mud
I'm usually aware of most of Aaron Job's drawings - either as he's drawing a picture or soon after it's complete. However, some time ago I ran across a stash of drawings that I'd never seen before. Included in this stash (all of which will eventually make their way to the blog), were a few for which I have no explanation. This is one of them.
*Pay attention to the face(s) of the sun - especially on the last page.

but don't crash
If runing dosint help, then try jumping.
Swing if jumping dosint work.
If swinging is not going to help,
then take a bath.
